Today: Electronics Club

All 7th grade social studies students should bring colored pencils to class today.

Electronics Club will be having a meeting today from 2:30pm until 3:30pm in the Shop Room.

Good luck to the wrestling team as they travel to Streetsboro for a scrimmage.  Those wrestlers staying until our bus at 4:30 should meet Coach Frankmann & Coach Keckan in the Commons after school.  Those who are going home need to be back by 4pm.

Our Final Coat Drive total was 1325 items.   Student Council would like to thank everyone who participated. Because of your donations, many families will have warm coats, shoes, & blankets to get them through this winter.

Second Place: Schofield-Carter, Daniels, & Brancazio, with 209 items.

Third Place: Stenger, Wesolowski, & Sedlak, with 175 items.

On Friday morning - November 17th - Beta Club will be selling donuts in the commons. Donuts are $2 each and can be purchased before school in the commons!

Today was a great day for the coat drive, with Rorabaugh & Sunderhaft's classes bringing in 74 items today. Friday morning is our last day for the coat drive. We are 274 items off of our 1,000 items donated goal. First place with 185 items is Sunderhaft, Franchini, & Rorabugh; Second place with 123 items is Schofield-Carter, Daniels, & Brancazio; and Third place with 51 items Ellis, McDermitt, & Tyrrell.

Students can pick up their printed 3D items in the Media Center. Once again 3D printed items can be picked up in the Media Center.

Harmon wrestling is recruiting and looking for more athletes to fill its ranks.  Wrestling is a coed sport for boys and girls, and starts Friday, November 17 with its first practice after school.  All wrestlers must be signed up on final forms and have a current sports participation form on file with the Athletic Office in order to participate.  Schedules and 1st practice information will be sent home through Final Forms to all who have signed up this Friday so that everyone can be ready to wrestle next Friday. As of today, we have collected 149 items for the shelter! A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Beckstrom, whom seems to have an endless supply of coats! First Place with  62 items is  Sunderhaft,  Franchini, and Rorabaugh. Second Place: with 54 items Schofield-Carter, Daniels, and Brancazio. Third Place: 11 Items Ellis, McDermitt, and Tyrrell. Please consider donating. The shelter shelves are bare and need our help! Coats, Shoes, Boots, and Blankets in need! 

Student Council members need to check in with Mrs. Schofield-Carter daily during the next two weeks.

Tryouts for boys basketball will be today and Thursday, November 9. 8th grade will be from 5:00-6:00 and 7th grade will be from 6:00-7:00.

Auditions for the Harmon Musical, Sally Sells Seashells (and you can, too) will be today.  They will take place after school.  Information about auditions is available in the front office.  These auditions are for cast only.  Crew sign ups will be at a later date.

Writing Club will NOT be meeting this week. We will meet next week on Wednesday, November 15 right after school in room 120.

Attention Harmon Quiz Bowl: There will be a Quiz Bowl meeting on Friday, November 10 after school in Mrs. Sunderhaft's room until 3:30.

Our next Reading Club meeting is Thursday, November 16. Join us in Mrs. Connelly's room 111 to discuss our love of all things fantasy! Hope to see you there!

It is that time of year again when Student Council is sponsoring our Annual Coat Drive. We are asking all students to bring in gently used or new coats, blankets, closed-toe shoes, winter boots, and tennis shoes. ( THESE ITEMS ONLY PLEASE) The Portage County clothing shelter is in desperate need of these items only. The Drive runs through Friday, November 17. 6th and 7th grade students will drop off items to their 1st-period class and 8th grade to their 2nd-period class!  ALL ITEMS DONATED THAT ARE USED MUST BE WASHED.
