Sixth and seventh grade students, remember to bring your Chromebook and charger to school today - Wednesday, May 24 - as these items will be collected during your social studies classes. Once again, 6th and 7th grade students bring your Chromebook and charger to school today as they will be collected.
Please get your negative lunch balances paid. Remember last day of school we will be serving cold sandwiches. If you do not like cold sandwiches please pack you lunch. Also, It is the end of the year so we are running low on snacks. You may want to bring in your own snacks in case we run out!

Students, we could use your help. The 6th grade is in need of empty, cleaned out gallon milk/water jugs to be used on their Tuesday, May 23 Water Day. Please give these containers to Mrs. Sunderhaft or Mrs. Schofield-Carter by Monday, May 22.
Yearbooks are here and will be handed out at lunch on Monday, May 22 at lunch time for each grade. Please check the lists hanging in the commons to see if you have one to pick up. A very small amount of extras are available first come first serve for $18.00. Cash or checks made out to Aurora City Schools will be accepted. See Mrs. RIchards in the office to reserve one!

Special congrats to Dylan Kindig on setting a new record in the 200m open with a time of 23.8 the old record was 24.18 set in 2016/2022 by Grant Huffman & Quincy Jones.
Congratulations to both boys and girls who won their track meet last night. The score for today was BOYS Aurora 74.4 Cuyahoga Falls 44.5! Congrats on a great regular season record of 5-1. GIRLS score for today Aurora 85 Cuyahoga Falls 34! Congratulations on a good regular season record of 3-3.

Congratulations to the girls' track sprint relay team of Lilly Raab, Hope Kanouff, Bella Stenger, & Bella Sferry for qualifying for the State Championship track meet. Pending final rankings, the girls travel to Columbus this Saturday to represent Aurora, aiming to bring home a state title in the 4x200 meter relay. Lead off runner Lilly Raab hands off the baton to Hope Kanouff, who hands it off to 3rd runner Bella Stenger, turning it over to anchor Bella Sferry. Good luck girls, way to represent!

►Huge congratulations to 6th grader Keira Holzman, who has been chosen as one of the winners of the 2023 Northeast Ohio's Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge! Keira's business idea was titled "Amputee Clothes" which would provide options for people who have lost limbs and wish to buy custom made clothing rather than having to purchase clothes that they would have to alter for themselves. Keira will win a total of $100 for her innovative, creative idea and efforts. Congratulations also to 7th grader Sushmitha Venkatesan who was a semi-finalist for her business idea called "Learn Free", which incorporates the importance of students helping students in school . She earned a $50 gift card Congratulations to all the students who entered this contest. Well done.

For those students attending the Goodyear STEM Career Day this Saturday, April 29, be sure to wear Aurora, Greenmen, or Harmon gear and that you are aware of your transportation arrangements. Remember lunch is being provided by Goodyear. If you have any questions contact Mrs. Beckstrom.
Attention those students attending the Sherlock Holmes play this Sunday! Be sure that you are dressed nicely and that you arrive here at Harmon ready to load the bus by 5:00 pm SHARP. If something has changed and you can no longer attend, then you MUST let Mrs. Sunderhaft know as soon as possible. Make sure you eat some dinner BEFORE you come to school at 5:00 to attend the show. As you know there isn't any eating on the buses. We will return to Harmon very late that night, around 9:30 pm. If you bring money for the concession stands, you will ONLY be allowed to purchase items BEFORE the play. During intermission you will NOT be allowed to purchase snacks.
